2/23/2022 | Employers have broad latitude in how to manage time and attendance policies. In many ways, there are no laws that directly regulate how employers prepare their standards for showing up at work. But in practice, administering time and attendance policies can be difficult. Especially as employers look to retain employees, attendance issues can be pervasive and go unaddressed. And, employers may need to ensure that certain absences are not counted against an employee if they properly qualify for leave under the ADA or FMLA. In this session, employment law attorney Andrew Metcalf will talk about the options for revamping your time and attendance policies. We’ll cover options for different types of policies, and how to enforce them fairly and practically. The session will also cover a few real-life legal cases where employers successfully (and unsuccessfully) enforced their policies. Don’t miss this discussion! more info... |
