PROGRAM: Fighting Cancer Today

Fighting Cancer Today is committed to helping cancer patients heal emotionally and financially from the hospital to the home while undergoing active cancer treatment, one cancer patient at a time.  Learn more about Fighting cancer Today.

About our Speaker: Cierra Johnson

Cierra Johnson and her mother Anita Johnson founded Fighting Cancer Today in 2020. The two saw the need for essential non-medical assistance for cancer patients once they returned home from hospital stays and treatments after Cierra, a 2x breast cancer survivor was diagnosed in 2019.  Together, They vowed we would walk on the frontlines alongside cancer patients, families, and support teams as they, too, fight cancer in Southern Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and surrounding areas.

This Month's Luncheon Sponsor:
The Marion Cultural and Civic Center Foundation, established in 1982, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and serves as a main component of fundraising for the Marion Cultural and Civic Center.  The foundation exists to fill the gap in funding. As a result of our membership and generous supporters throughout the years, the foundation has been able to generate funds on behalf of the Cultural and Civic Center allowing for improvements that might not otherwise be possible. Improvements in the past have included lighting, sound, fixtures, and concession equipment upgrades.
