Nuts and Bolts of HR: For Professionals at All Levels

This seminar will provide guidance on how to handle situations across the employment law spectrum including pre-employment background check requirements, cannabis reasonable suspicion training in the workplace, obligations and requirements for supervisors and managers with respect to anti-sexual harassment and retaliation, conducting effective workplace investigations, compliance with social media and other privacy issues in the workplace; paid leave, as well as several other potential issues that could arise in the workplace that need immediate attention.

MARION, Ill. – Interstate Tire Pros Auto Service is pleased to announce the 3rd annual Take Me Out to the Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Mtn Dew Park in Marion.

In its past two years, Take Me Out to the Car Show has drawn hundreds of registered participants from across southern Illinois and surrounding states.

“We’ve had a great response from the community so far. We want to build on that momentum and make 2024 our largest year yet!” said Shawn Hughes, president of Interstate Tire Pros Auto Service.

While there will be cars, trucks and bikes on display, this year’s event will also feature food trucks, a 50/50 raffle and a new addition – a burnout contest.

The contest will be open to licensed drivers over the age of 18. A $10 donation, signed waiver and proof of insurance will be required.

“Come out and show us what you’ve got! It’s an opportunity to raise a little extra for two great organizations and a chance for you to earn a cool trophy and bragging rights,” explained Hughes.

The 3rd annual Take Me Out to the Car Show runs 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8 and is free to attend.

For those who wish to register a vehicle in the show, the cost is $15 before June 3 or $20 on the day of the event. Registration will close at noon on June 8 to allow for judging. Awards will be presented at 1:30 p.m.

Event tickets will need to be paid for when they are reserved. If you need to make other arrangements or need an invoice to request a check, please contact the office. Any open balances will need to be paid by the day of the event or guests will not be able to attend.

RSVP deadline is the Friday before the luncheon at noon, afterward limited seating will be available. Check out the registration portal to see how many seats are available or join a waiting list. Attendees will receive a reminder prior to the event.

These new policies were put in place October 2023 at the July 2023 Budget Committee Meeting due to concern about unpaid event registrations.
