On Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 6:00- 8:00 PM join your local BGCSI and community at John A Logan College Banquet Room for an evening of celebrating extraordinary achievements.
Youth of the Year is a celebration of honoring exceptional Club members’ experiences through their individual journeys. The Sr. Youth of the Year candidates have written three essays: My Club Experience; What Matters to Me; and, Personal Growth. Jr. Youth of the Year candidates have written one essay that answers the questions: What makes them happy?; What are you good at doing?; What have you learned at the Club?; and, What do you like about the Club?
At the celebration dinner nominees will all have the opportunity to share their speech, in front of a panel of judges. They will also have the opportunity to answer questions posed by the judges. At the end of the evening, the 2023 Youth of the Year and Jr. Youth of the Year will be announced. The Youth of the Year will receive a college scholarship and advance to the state competition in April.
This is truly an inspiring event that will give you a glimpse into the BGCSI mission and the impact the Club has on the youth in our community!
We invite the community to join as our guests. Guests can purchase individual tickets at $35 per person or become a sponsor! Sponsor levels range from $250- $1000. For more information about sponsor levels, contact Betty Williams, Director of Fund Development at bwilliams@bgcsi.org.
