Event Description
Centerstone, a national leader in behavioral health care, will host the Community Champions Wall Unveiling on Monday, September 30 at 5 p.m. in the lobby of the West Frankfort Centerstone office, 902 West Main Street.

The event will begin with free appetizers and drinks. The unveiling of the Community Champions Wall, featuring photos of previous winners of the Community Champions Award, will be held at approximately 5:15 p.m. No registration is necessary to attend.

“The Community Champions Awards honor community leaders who have made a difference by advancing mental health and substance use disorder services through their advocacy, leadership and service,” said John Markley, Centerstone CEO.

Centerstone created the Community Champions Awards to recognize individuals in our communities who have:
• Shown tremendous compassion and understanding of those experiencing mental illness and/or substance use disorder;
• Heightened community awareness about the stigma around mental health and/or substance use disorder;
• Taken significant action to improve the quality of life for those in our community living with mental illness and/or substance use disorder.

Past winners of the Southern Illinois Centerstone Community Champions Awards featured on the wall include:
