Brehm Preparatory School Foundation (Brehm Foundation) will break ground for the new OPTIONS Transitions to Independence (OPTIONS) building on Friday, September 20th at 9:30am.

Serving its maximum capacity, OPTIONS has long outgrown its current 5,000 square foot building located on Lewis Lane. To address the growing need for services for young adults with learning disabilities, Brehm Foundation launched a “Dual Vision” Capital Campaign. The first phase of the Campaign was completed in the Summer of 2018, where 4 dormitories on Brehm’s High School Campus received updated and upgraded bath and restroom facilities.
The new 11,000 square foot building will be located on the Brehm Campus, next to the Brehm Administration Building, allowing OPTIONS to fully benefit from the campus infrastructure. The building will contain 6 classrooms, Speech and Language resource offices, Life Skills and Clinical offices, Arrowsmith, and the OPTIONS Administrative offices. The expanded facility will allow OPTIONS to provide services for 75 young adults with learning disabilities.
Funding for the new building has come from private donors, consisting of Brehm Stakeholders, Board of Trustees, Board of Directors, Staff/Faculty, Current Families, and Alumni Families. OPTIONS is a comprehensive, transformational program for young adults with learning disabilities with the mission to empower students with learning disabilities and differences to recognize and optimize their potential throughout their lives.
