“Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope” is a one-hour documentary that chronicles the birth of a new movement among pediatricians, therapists, educators and communities, who are using cutting-edge brain science to disrupt cycles of violence, addiction and disease. Thursday, March 7, 6:00 p.m. at Heartland Regional Medical Center, 3333 West DeYoung Street, Marion. This event is presented by Prevent Child Abuse Illinois in cooperation with Heartland Regional Medical Center
The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion with area educators, officials and healthcare providers who are part of the national discussion to prevent childhood trauma, treat toxic stress, and greatly improve the health of future generations.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits are also available to qualifying medical professionals for a $50 fee (payable upon admission).
